Fun place to visit while in southern VT

点评：We take about 3-4 day trips per year to southern VT. The Apple Barn is almost always part of our itinerary. They have a great gift shop full of VT treats including jams, jellies, a wide variety of maple products, baked goods, and numerous other nice souvenir items. They have wonderful cider donuts, but I do not recommend their iced coffee. We bought 2 today, which were about 16 oz each. The total was around $8.50, which was not surprising given that we were in a very "touristy" area; however, the coffee was NOT fresh. It was poured from a pitcher that was in their refrigerator. My guess is that it was at least a day old, if not more, as it was quite bitter, even after doctoring it up with cream and sweetener. We didn't take it back, but probably should have.
Switching gears to a few positives...their restrooms are super clean and there is no requirement to purchase anything to be able to use them. The decor in them is very fun.
The employees are very friendly.
In the fall, they sell pumpkins and have some fun free activities outside. One time (many years ago) they had a sling shot thing where you could shoot old apples at a target. There are several cool photo ops too including a giant painted moose out front.
Almost forgot to say...they have great cider too!
