Lovely garden, dreadful cafe

点评：Impressive garden, dreadful cafe
Nothing about what I was served from the cafe’s short snack menu was remotely acceptable.
All options are priced at the top end while quality and taste are at the low end
I was tempted by the ‘Roasted tomato soup (with bread & butte)’ option and the ‘ham & cheese sandwich.’
The soup was from a can and the bread from a sliced loaf from the bottom end of a low-end supermarket range.
The bread for the sandwich was made from the same packet, while the filling was processed, tasteless ham and mechanically sliced cheese in the American style of, well, tastelessness
The coffee was from an impressive looking machine, but made from cheap (non arabica) beans. So the impressiveness of the machine made no difference to o the unpleasant taste of the coffee.
Frankly, the meal was a rip off. It was priced at Pret level, but would have insulted a ‘greasy spoon’ cafe
