点评:Situated on Church Island, which is just off the Belgian Promonade, and accessed by a 30 yard long paved causeway. This is an interesting and very short wall from the car parks near to Waitrose, and meanders through Coed Cymol woodland , which is "red squirrel" country. The pathway desends down to the fast flowing waters of the Menai strait. It was fascinating to check out the strength of the waters here.
The island, and the church have no electricity, so no lighting, or heating.
But St. Tysilio's was built sometime in the C15th, and its grey slate / stone just emphases both the isolated location, as well as whty this spot was originally selected as a retreat.
It is a great place just so tranquil, and yet so very close to the power of nature, with menacing tidal waters just feet away. Certainly a place ( on a reasonably good day) that would reward your visit.
