Holiday Morocco made our first visit to Africa very special

点评：We booked a three day tour starting from Marrakesch and ending in Fes. There were numerous highlights during our trip but the pinnacle was the Sahara experience in Merzouga.
"Holiday Morocco" exceeded all my expectations. The trip was organized really well. Our tour guide and driver Yassine is a wonderful person.
First & foremost, he is an excellent driver. He was extremely cordial, well-informed, punctual and jovial. It was our pleasure exploring Morocco with Yassine.
The 3 day trip from Marrakesch to Fes via Merzouga covers a lot of distance. Day 1 took us through the gigantic Atlas Mountains.
There were several stops along the way. We explored Kasabas and other local attractions. Yassine told us all about the history of people who inhabit these lands.
The nature in Morocco is surreal. At the end of Day 1, we stopped at a beautiful Riad, met fellow travelers, relaxed with a wine, ate some local food and stared at the gorgeous night sky before falling asleep in our comfortable room.
Day 2 was even more epic. We crossed a beautiful gorge, took pictures and hiked a bit.
Before arriving in Merzouga, we stopped for Berber Pizza. I absolutely loved it and can not recommend this highly enough. Once again, a bit shout out to Yassine - our tour guide for arranging this in advance.
Finally, around half past five, we arrived in Merzouga where our camel safari awaited us. Riding a camel - the undisputed king of the Desert - through the dunes is an experience of a lifetime. The blue skies with just a little sprinkling of clouds made the sunset extremely special.
The Desert camp was very comfortable. After a wonderful meal, we sat around a bonfire gazing at the marvelous night sky twinkling with a gazillion stars. Sky gazing in the Sahara had always been on my bucket list. It was worth the wait.
The following morning was an early start for us. In the Sahara, you don't laze around, even though I really wanted to do exactly that. The sunrise is unmissable. After the spectacular sunrise, we had breakfast, hopped into a car and bid adieu to the dunes.
Our tour guide Yassine met us in Merzouga exactly where had dropped us off last night. The ride back to Fes was long. Fortunately, roads in Morocco are good. It took us around 8 hours to reach Fes. Along the way, we crossed ever changing landscapes, beautiful towns, even some snow!
Morocco - you really surprised us with your diverse landscape, natural beauty, rich history, incredible culture and most importantly kind people.
I hope to be back one day.
