点评：My husband booked a vintage wine tasting session as a surprise ( even though he doesn’t drink, but they did offer an alternative price for him) and I must admit, it felt underwhelming as soon as the taxi pulled in. But we walked in, Mario was polite and welcoming straight away, we had a look around and got started swiftly. The tour was great, very informative and quite brilliant, such an amazing selection of vintage wines, just breathtaking. We sat down, got the food to nibble on and then, the wines. Mario knows these wines inside and out, offered tips and shared his knowledge from start to finish. He altered the wines based on one sentence I said and that was impressive. I loved every single wine we tried, and the top shelf was a 1980 bottle of red that for me, was a once in a lifetime opportunity. He did not pressure us in buying anything, but the owner stepped in a few too many times pushing for us to buy the opened bottle of the vintage wine we tried and made us feel slightly uncomfortable. Mario came over starlight after and checked in, made sure we’re ok and happy and just said “if you’d like to purchase anything, I’ll be at the front, but for now, enjoy your wine”. Overall, a great experience, Mario was passionate, knowledgeable and welcoming, but we did find some of their wines at a much lower price in a supermarket, the next day.
