The tasting room was reasonably busy and after a wait a waitress came through to take our tasting menu order. The wine arrived and the waiter promptly disappeared. Anyway we tasted the wines and after a while some bread and pate was delivered to our table. A nice gesture! We then tried to order a meal and a glass of wine. We stopped a waitress and she mentioned that someone would come around. After 20 minutes we gave up and went to pay for the tasting. A shock awaited us. R165 for the tasting of R40 and R55. I pointed this out and was told that the five half pieces of bread cost R70. I indicted that we had not ordered bread and assumed it was complimentary as the bread at Ulumbaza wine the day before. Adamant this was still charged. Be warned. Not a wine tasting venue if you want to know about the wine and don't eat anything you did not order.
