A must-take train trip

点评：When we heard a out this short train teip in the southbof France, we built part of our vacation around making sure that we could take this ride. It did not dissapoint!
There was no extra fee for us to take the trip (we teavelled the full length of this narrow-gauge railway from west to east), because it was covered by our Interrail pass. However, there are ticketing fees if you are not on a rail pass.
We stayed in Entvig and got to the station early, just to be sure we could nab a seat on the open-topped passenger car. Our train had only one, but we saw another with two… they can be very popular and give the best views. Sit at the back, so the car in front does not block your view.
There are no toilets kn the train and stops at stations are very short. Be prepared for that reality and bring appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and snacks. Our morning started off cool and soon became blisteringly hot. That all equates to a lot of sun over a 3 hour period.
Anyhow, the views are amazing. From rolling hills and fields, small towns, waving locals and cyclists to massive mountains and deep valleys. The scenery keeps changing as you wind over stone bridges, a suspension bridge, and are treated to spectacular views that cameras simply cannot capture adequately.
This is a must-take train trip for enthusiasts and for anyone wanting to see this part of France (with peeks at Spain too — including a small isolated island of Spain within France). At the western end, be sure to check out the old walled city for a real treat.

不管怎样，这里的景色美得令人惊叹。有连绵起伏的丘陵与田野、小城镇、挥手致意的当地人和骑行者，还有巍峨的高山与幽深的峡谷。当你穿过石桥和悬索桥时，周围的景致不断变换，眼前的壮丽景色简直是相机难以完全捕捉到的。对于铁路爱好者以及所有想游览法国这一地区的人来说，这趟列车之旅绝对不容错过（途中还能瞥见西班牙的景致——甚至能看到法国境内一个孤悬于外的西班牙小岛）。行程的西端，一定要去看看那座有城墙环绕的古老城市，绝对会令你大饱眼福。
