点评：We’ve walked past this place so many times and usually said on each occasion ’we must go in’ before walking on, well today, thanks to the gentleman volunteer inviting people in for a visit, we did exactly that and we’re so pleased we did. What a gem of historical facts, pictures, prints, and exhibits, a treasure trove of artefacts associated with the volunteer organisation. Some great views of the Tyne from the two towers as well. Thanks must also be given to the three volunteers present and willing to give some life and interesting history to the exhibits, building and organisation. And it’s all totally free! Well worth a visit if you get the chance and support a local organisation still providing a service to the community.
