Rio Grande Closed Without Notice The Rio Grande Rapids—the only ride my parents were excited for—was closed, and there was no prior announcement. That alone spoiled a big part of our visit.
Food Was Overpriced and Poor in Quality Food choices were very limited. What we got felt like low-quality kids’ meals, yet priced like restaurant dishes. Long delays in e-wallet payments added to the frustration, especially while waiting in the heat with two seniors.
Accessibility Was Lacking Several attractions weren’t wheelchair-friendly—no ramps, just stairs. Staff didn’t offer help, and it felt like assisting guests with mobility needs wasn’t part of their protocol. That’s unacceptable for a park that claims to be inclusive.
Facilities Felt Old and Neglected Many buildings looked outdated and worn. Some vintage charm is understandable, but most areas felt neglected. I’ve seen little to no improvement over the years despite multiple visits.
Poor Compensation for a Premium Experience I reported the issues to Klook and received a small rebate—but only in credits, not actual money. It didn’t reflect the inconvenience we experienced. Had I known, I would’ve purchased regular passes, which cost far less.
Overall, the EKspress Pass didn’t deliver the value or comfort we paid for. I hope EK seriously considers improving accessibility, food quality, and transparency about ride closures.
