点评:We were greeted on arrival by Cristophe the local historian. Ironically his surname is Chevalier which translates to Knight - meaning he can actually say he's the last knight surviving the Chateau/Fort. The museum attached is where we started, where we viewed many artefacts, before walking up to the ruins. The structure is quite impressive and is being well preserved. If you take up the suggestion of another 10-15 minute walk, you come down on the far side of the Castle and come across an authentic garden which has been planted to be historically accurate. There's also a lovely spot where you could stop to eat or have a picnic, alongside a running stream. Christophe was keen to answer any questions and help in any way. It was a lovely and informative way to spend an hour or two.
