Mars Cheese Castle的点评
点评：The cheese castle was basically a huge shop for tourists like us to buy lots of local and imported foods. The employees were knowledgeable about the cheese choices and very helpful.
It’s an interesting, kitschy store if one is interested in such.
I would have given it a 5 just for the fun of shopping there, but the restaurant wasn’t very good. One of the main items advertised was chili in a cheese bread bowl. According to the not so helpful young man at the counter, the chili isn’t ready yet. “We’ve only been open around 30 minutes”…..what? You just show up and start cooking? He told us that it would be over an hour until it was ready. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich and baked potato soup, definitely a food service soup that wasn’t even warm. I asked to have it heated up and they did. Had to ask for crackers, and our drinks. He said, “Oh, yeah…”. They weren’t busy so I’m not sure what was going on. My sandwich, Italian beef was large and pretty tasty . My husband said his pastrami sandwich was good. The French fries were good too.
Ended up spending quite a bit of money for gifts. Everyone should go there once, but that will probably be enough.
