点评:The highlight here are the library and the Basilica of St. Martin both with magnificent baroque rococo designs and elements. We found out about the library when doing some research into Germany on Instagram and this popped up and it looks just as good in person with pastel columns, white statues, beautiful paintings, and gold highlights. They have some old books here but some older (and more fragile books) have been moved to the city museum.
The cost to enter the area with the library is 6 euros and is included with the museum admission ticket. There is a small exhibition explaining the history of the monastery but it is all in German. Another fun thing was that they have a Lego model of the kloster which is the largest private Lego build in Germany and shows the kloster in good detail. The library is beautiful but we felt the church was just as beautiful. The basilica is undergoing pretty significant renovations right now but there was still plenty to see and enjoy. The basilica is free to enter.
The kloster is a 14 minute drive from the city center of Ulm and has free parking on site in a large parking lot. The # 4 bus also stops over here and would take about 20 minutes to get to the Kloster from city hall if you time it right. We spent about an hour in the hour with most of that time split between the library and the church.
