Egremni Beach的点评
点评：There's no doubt that this is the best beach in Lefkada. The landscape is stunning and you can see the entire beach from the stairs. I would say Egremni is Lefkada's hidden gem, but it isn't really 'hidden' because lots of people come here to enjoy the sun and water. The main advantage is that this beach is really big and, although many people come here, it never gets crowded because of its size.
Things to be aware of: 1. If you come by car (as we did) the road won't take you right to the beach. You will have to walk 1 km from where you parked your car (and there is no shade, so you'll walk through full sun) and then there'll be 400 stairs waiting for you. After all this long and exhausting walk, you'll arrive at the beach. In fact, this is the only reason why I rated Egremni 4 out of 5.
2. The beach has got no facilities.
3. The water is deep even from the start and there are waves, big waves.
Tips: 1. If you go by car, don't forget to wear something comfortable, bring a hat and sunscreen. Still, if you don't want to walk all that distance, you can go by boat or cruise but I don't know much details about this since we went by car.
2. As I mentioned earlier, no facilities here. You have to bring your own umbrella, chairs etc.
3. The waves are not the kind of dangerous waves, but don't leave your children unsupervised here. Egremni is not the type of beach with gradual entry into water, so it's not a good idea for families with small children, but it's up to you.
