点评:I’ve been visiting since the early 70’s when it was just Quainton Road. The Society seemed to make great advances with the the new station but since then it seems to have stood still(& gone backwards in some ways). Like the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden they seem to have identified that appealing to the under 5´s is the way to survive. It was frankly depressing to see the same rusting locos in exactly the same place some 50 years later. The museum was depressing too- can you not at least clean the glass cabinets & contents once in a decade??? The old Station Masters of the Metropolitan Railway would be dismayed at the way the station is being presented now. The potential is there & I’m sure the volunteers work very hard but for me it was 4/10 & I won’t be going back anytime soon- very sad!
