点评：I’m lost for words.
It’s taken me all day to try and describe how I feel about this course.
It’s been top of my Bucket List ever since I heard its story 10+ years ago. When my wife said we might be going to the Outer Hebrides for our family holiday my dream became a reality and I could not wait.
I played on my own at 6am on a beautiful summer’s morning.
It’s not in great condition. It’s cruel and almost unplayable in several sections. Rabbit Holes outnumber the one with the flag in by several dozen. But……..
This is how the game must have been when Old Tom made the journey (it must have been horrific!) to lay out his circuit in this remote corner of Scotland.
Is it meant to be manicured? Is it meant to be fair? Is it meant to be easy? Not for me.
I feel like I’ve played in a Time Machine. I played well, had three birdies, lost seven balls and had a blast. It’s so hard. So very, very difficult. But there’s always a way to play each hole.
Come and have a go and take a glimpse into the past. It gives me enormous respect for my golfing forefathers and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
