Incredible Wildlife Tour in the Outer Hebrides – Highly Recommended

My family (1 adult, 2 boys aged 7 & 10) were lucky enough to spend a day with Steve over February half-term. I'd called beforehand to ask if trips were running during low season and if they were suitable for children, and Steve was kind enough to plan a day to fit around the weather and our travel plans. Our day was perfect from top to tail. Steve collected us from our Airbnb and took us to breath-taking parts of the islands we never would have found by ourselves. We saw a massive variety of wildlife and made a list as the day progressed: otters, sea eagles, harbour seals, kestrels, buzzards, lapwings, goldcrests, sparrowhawk, different species of swans and geese, and plenty more - even a majestic red stag!
Steve set-up his telescope so that the children could get a proper view, and set mini challenges to keep them engaged throughout. We learned so much and enjoyed hearing local history and stories along the way.
As well as being a fountain of knowledge Steve is kind, genuine and generally a very lovely human. If (when!) we make it back to the Hebrides we'd all jump at the chance to do another trip - a huge thank you for making it such an enjoyable day! Next time we'll bring a decent camera...
