Meat Cove的点评
点评：At the direction of our whale watching tour captain, we headed the 10 km northwest to Meat Cove since we were already in the neighborhood and unlikely to return. Unlike mentioned previous reviews, the road was navigable with a very short stretch of dirt road that a sedan could handle. No potholes of death encountered!
As of the first week of July, the food truck was not in operation unfortunately, but the washrooms with toilets and showers were made available to us by the campsite host. They were incredibly clean and smelled great. They are well maintained.
A quick look around showed mostly campsites with a few tiny cabins. A short walk away was a portable wash station for cleaning dishes and drinking water refills. I believe the host indicated that the campsites were first come, first served.
Again, in the first week of July, the bugs didn’t seem to be an issue. It was a clear, sunny day and the views were STUNNING. There is a beach accessible for swimming if you are so inclined. I would absolutely love to go back for another whale watching tour and then two nights of camping. I didn’t get a chance to fully look around but my initial impression is that you’d wait to camp with when the kids are little bit older so they can be aware of the ledges.
