点评：Top tier Outfitter! Our group of 9 chose to canoe from Kinzua Dam to President — 51 miles. None of us have ever canoed the river before so we looked for Allegheny Outfitters for help and they went above and beyond. First, before you do anything, spend the $40 and purchase Allegheny River Paddling Guide. Best river guide book I’ve ever used written by Piper of Allegheny Outfitters. Using the guide, Sue and Piper walked us through the river and provided wonderful recommendations where we could camp each night. Sunday and Monday we stayed at Buckaloons mile 15). Tuesday night we camped at the bottom tip of McGuire Island (mile 30) just past Courson Island. Wednesday morning resupplied at Tidoute Trading Post. Camped on Hemlock Island in the middle of an old growth forest (mile 37). Thursday we planned on staying on the banks of Indian Camp Run (mile 47) with a beautiful waterfall but the ‘muck’ around the site made it doable but less than desirable for a final night on the river! We went up river to Holeman Island and Kibbe’s campground camping on the banks of the river (mile 48). Took out at President in the morning (mile 51). Canoes were in great shape and livery service was very friendly and punctual. Overall, a great experience with a great outfitter!!!!!
