A beautiful collection of authentic architecture, but not a living village
Museum of Orava Village的点评
点评：The folk village is a collection of traditional houses. They are all original examples of different types of housing found in the area, and some are hundreds of years old, but they have been relocated to Orava and arranged in a typical layout.
As such, the village is a museum piece, not a living, breathing village, and that is the reason I have deducted one star. Although they have tried, by adding poultry and a few sheep, there was no real atmosphere.
The village and its location are very beautiful. A river runs through the centre, and there are walking paths and many cycle tracks in the immediate area.
I did enjoy my visit, and found it very interesting to see how people lived, but was disappointed that it was not an authentic village.
The site is dog friendly and we visited with our four pups.
