I can’t express how incredible this experience was! Visiting Whitehaven Beach and kayaking around the Whitsunday Islands has been on my bucket list for years, and Salty Dog Sea Kayaking made it everything I hoped for—and more.
From the start, the team was amazing. They provided us with everything we needed—safety gear, jackets, comprehensive briefing, and even arranged transport through Scamper Ferry. Their local knowledge was invaluable. They gave us detailed info on weather conditions, tides, and the best places to go (and the best times to go)—something you just can’t get from a map or app.
Kayaking was the perfect way to explore the islands. Unlike hiking, we didn’t have to carry all our gear—we just packed up our kayaks and paddled to secluded beaches for lunch or a swim. It gave us total freedom to explore hidden gems that most tourists miss.
When we returned, I also joined one of Salty Dog’s guided paddles over to White Rock. What a blast! They provided stinger suits and snorkelling gear, and I even spotted turtles while out on the water. Pure magic.
If you’re heading to the Whitsundays seriously- don’t miss this experience. Salty Dog Sea Kayaking made it easy, safe, and unforgettable. Thank you Hayley and Neill for helping me tick off one of the best adventures of my life!
