Southwest Virginia Cultural Center & Marketplace的点评
点评：Their website speaks of an exhibit of Bluegrass Music as well as a large number of skilled craftsmen and artists. The building is impressive. However, there is very little museum, where you can read everything on offer in about 20 minutes. There is a small theater where it is said you can view numerous bluegrass music videos, but it wasn’t working 😒. The rest of the “exhibit” essentially was a store for all the crafts folks. We had expected to see a few crafters at work, but there were none, not even a workspace.
There is a large center room with a stage where jams and concerts are offered certain evenings as well as a cafe which was closed.
Overall, unless you are the casual tourist looking for a quick stop with nice gifts for sale, don’t bother allowing much time here. Check out their website for the music events. Locals told us it is a nice place for that.
