Enjoying the Dunes and Lighthouse at Headlands Beach State Park

点评：Good trip. We arrived at approximately 2 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the park. The parking lot was huge and there were plenty of spaces to park. We opted to hike the Headlands Beach Trail, which was a roughly 1 mile loop around the park. There was a short walkway that led us to the dunes and beach area. There were informational plaques located alongside the trail, that gave us some background information about the existing environment. After enjoying the beach area, we made our way towards the lighthouse. The sand was quite hot and almost burned our feet as we walked on it. The lighthouse was not open to the public, and we had to snap several pictures from a distance. After viewing the exterior of the lighthouse, we made our way back to the parking lot.
Tip: I recommend spending 45 minutes here if you truly want to see everything (longer if you want to spend more time at the beach)
