Best fossil fish quarry for us!

点评：This is the real fossil searching experience. We searched at Ulrich’s fossil quarry from the 12th of june until 14th. No searching in stone rows and looking trough stone rubble of previous fossil hunters like in other fossil quarries around Kemmerer, but really digging your plates strait out of the split layer formation. In other quarry’s you get blocks that have been broken out of the wall and you split those, and yes you can find fish in them but alot of them are broken.
Here at Ulrichs quarry you dig straight in the green river formation with a much better change to find complete fish, some small but also nice big ones up to 15 inches. The quality was also great and the fish had a really nice black/brown colour. We had some nice guides named John and Jake, they are super friendly and got a lot of experience with fossil hunting. They make sure that you go home with nice fossils, and they even cut them in to nice pieces accordingly to the wish of the client.
The owner Mike is also very nice and helpful. There is only one thing that he wants, and that is that his visitors have a good time and go home with nice fossil fish.
If we are coming back here to do some fossil hunting again we are going straight to Ulrich and not to another quarry. For us, this was the best and most satisfying dig we can get here.
