Dreadfully rude staff

点评：Visited today with my husband, sister and brother in law, who have been coming for the past 30 years. They love all the different plants and the tranquil gardens. We found the walk from the car to the tea room was quite rocky and we had to keep our eyes glued to the ground for fear of falling. Went to the tea room and waited to be served. Staff walking around collecting dirty pots from inside and outside didn’t smile or say hello or appear at all friendly. There was a man and his grandson in front of us who asked if they served chips with the fish finger panini. The lady serving, in no uncertain terms told him they did NOT sell chips with anything. She was embarrassingly rude and really didn’t put any effort into making him, us or anyone close by welcome. Just appears to look down her bespectacled nose at people waiting to be served. I waited outside with my sister and left our husbands getting the food/drinks. I had a Ronaldo’s ice cream. Very limited flavours and the flavour I wanted, salted caramel was sold out so I had vanilla. Normally I’d have 2 scoops but my ice cream came in a piddly pot with a lid and spoon like you’d get at the cinema. A very disappointing visit and we won’t be back. Please Manager retrain your rude staff. Politeness costs nothing.
