Killens Pond State Park的点评
点评：Excellent state park, quite large with a variety of activities. Loved the trails. Water park closed but looks great. Great price on the camp sites.
We stayed on loop C. For larger trailers, note that it's easy to scrape a tree when rounding loop C. The tree in question is unfortunately placed in the middle of the loop, comes up on your left side when you least expect it. We were happy not to have scraped the tree, as was a neighbor. Gave us something to bond around.
It was a cloudy week and the campsite felt gloomy due to heavy tree cover. Must be great for shade in hot weather though.
Signage could be improved: if you're looking for the campground entrance, don't go to the main gate. Directions to the campsite could be made a bit more obvious, both online and in the signage. Same with the nature / bike trail, just a little hard to figure out due to lack of signs.
Campsite registration: I'm not aware of the office being open during our 48 hour stay which admittedly was off season. Kind of strange rolling up to a closed office, with no packet for scheduled check ins. I guess it works, kind of felt weird though.
