点评：Pencarrow was one of the highlights of our visit to Cornwall. The house itself is fascinating, but what really sets it apart is that it still feels like a family home. The family photographs and personal touches throughout made it feel warm, welcoming and alive in a way that many historic houses do not.
Our guide, Kat, was exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable, answered every question with enthusiasm, and shared funny, touching stories that have been handed down through the generations. Those stories brought the house and its former occupants to life and made the visit feel personal rather than simply historical.
In many ways, we enjoyed it more than visiting a National Trust property because there was such a strong sense of the people who have lived there. The beautiful gardens and woodland walks were an added bonus and made for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys history, beautiful surroundings and a genuine glimpse into family life over the centuries.
