We had a great ride!
Delaware River Railroad Excursions的点评
点评：This is a nice scenic trip along the river. There is plenty of parking, but I can see it filling up quickly with the more popular train rides. They do have two portapottys near the ticket booth. I wish they had a handicapped one, since the regular ones are small and you have to step up to get into them. I had a bit of trouble getting in as I do use a cane. They do have a nice 4 seater golf cart to get those who have problems walking down to the actual tracks. It is a steep hill to get down there.
It is not for those who can't walk as there isn't any way for you to get on the train. The car we were in was nice. The seats are comfortable. The ride was about 1 hour and 45 minute's long. The cars do sway from side to side and bounce up and down, but overall the ride was smooth. It is a volunteer group that maintains the track and are the conductors and they have their own families and jobs. So a small amount of bouncing and swaying is fine.
The steam locomotive was in the shop for it's inspection for our ride. It has to go in after a certain amount of time and use for inspection and maintenance. The diesel locomotive did a good job of pulling multiple cars
The volunteers are friendly and are willing to talk to you and pose for pictures
Overall I would recommend this train ride and we had a good time
