Tea room staff were great but a jobsworth trustee ruined the day.

点评：This location was prearranged with our car club party leader. On arrival we all parked in the designated car park and went for tea in the tea room. The tea room staff were perfect and the service was perfect. On leaving our party leader asked the member of staff at the box office selling tickets if we could bring our cars to the front for a quick picture in front of the house. The lady agreed and said many others have pictures in front of the house.
We all drove round very respectfully making sure not to go
On the grass or create any damage. We all parked up and a few of our members took some pics, members of the public and some of the tea room staff also were taking pictures and everyone was in good spirit when an male middle aged jobsworth came over shouting and carrying on saying he’s a trustee and we did not have permission to take pics in front of the house or park there, we explained we had asked and were given permission but he was not interested and was just plain rude.
We had every intension of recommending this venue to many car clubs but now I would not send a soul there. Someone needs to replace him as he’s rude and in the dark ages. Pathetic jobsworth that embarrassed the venue, even the other staff and members of the public were appalled at his behaviour. We won’t be back and I’m sure the rest of our party won’t be either.
