IGNORE THE HATERS and have a great time in Old Florida

点评：IGNORE THE HATERS. Just ignore them! I’ve been bringing friends and family here for 9 years. This is OLD FLORIDA. Yes, it’s weird and quirky and strange. Yes some of it is run down or dirty (especially the men’s room!), but there is absolutely nothing like it anywhere else in Florida, and probably the world.
TAlK to the staff and you’ll better appreciate what they’ve gone through trying to run AND improve this place. Yes! There have been noticeable improvements over the past few years, but the removal of some animals the limits on which you can feed and what you can feed them are courtesy of our government. That’s all I’ll say about that! But most of the critters have water on demand and places to avoid people when they desire,
Most of the fish tanks are noticeably cleaner as are the grounds and the spooky indoor miniature golf, alone worth the price of admission!
Last year they added a cheesy guided tour to begin your day. I think it’s much more for the little ones but they address everyone.
I would have given it 5 stars, but I just can’t get over that men’s restroom! Take Dad’s advice and “go at home before you leave” or stop somewhere on the way. That urinal perpetually covered by a trash bag year after year and the often backed up toilet are the perpetual parts of the experience I’d rather miss.
