STUNNING grounds. Lovely staff. Poor frisbee golf!

点评：Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Stunning wildlife like woodpeckers & Red squirrels. Great little playground. Gorgeous cypress trees & eucalyptus trees.
The food was quite dear (as is NT standard) & we got semi-frozen pizza first time around but they fixed this quickly & with a smile.
The sad part was frisbee golf. A fun activity which can be done in various locations in the UK. We were told we couldn’t hire frisbees (as many places do) but we had to buy them at £4.50 per frisbee! The sign by the frisbees in the shop said ‘perfect for frisbee golf!’ - an activity offered on their site. When we were purchasing, the person on the counter said ‘these are recycled plastic so fragile - take care not to hit any trees’. We replied ‘…but you have located the frisbee golf course in a wood?’ ‘Yes’ came the response. So, the frisbee inevitably broke, hitting the pole of the frisbee golf hole, & we spotted a couple of other shards of broken frisbee on our way round the course. We informed them that the sign was misleading (see photo) & I think they have since removed it but they really need to rethink the recycled plastic frisbees which are not fit for purpose, end up broken quickly and require more energy for disposal, and are very expensive for what should be an accessible family activity & a lovely way to spend time in nature.
