So worth the climb .
Marquess of Anglesey's Column的点评
点评：Good car park with steepish path to walk through woods to the cafe and base of column though there is another road route for less able walkers.
Cafe and toilets were scrupulously clean, cakes and cookies first class, staff all extremely welcoming. As it was Wednesday there were 2 " soldiers " in historical dress although they were not particularly chatty.
Small charge to go up the column from the cafe, well monitored by Callum to ensure no-one could go up before the previous visitors had come down.
115 spiral steps to the top...although I didn't count them !!...clean and well finished inside.
Step onto a small fenced platform at the top and prepare to be wowed by the views. I could have stayed up there for ages, it's a climb I've been wanting to do for decades and it didn't disappoint.
An all round excellent time, I'll certainly be up there again and am happy to recommend...if you're not too fit just stay and have tea and cake whilst your other party members do all the hard work !!
