点评：This was the reason we came to Romania and it did not disappoint.
If you are going to Romania, you absolutely must visit this incredible Sanctuary.
Our tour guide was Maria who blended information and humour, pitching the sad stories of the cruelty the bears suffered before their rescue. No-one wants to go to these places to feel depressed but it’s also important to remind people why it exists. The balance was spot on.
We saw around 15 adult bears and 4 cubs despite the time of year. Wear very comfortable shoes as you’ll do a lot of uphill walking. You don’t need to be super fit but don’t underestimate it either.
We’d recommend going to the loo before you set off as the queue at the end was crazy.
The gift shop was well stocked with a lot of variety and no-one pressures you to buy anything so you can peruse in peace.
Would come here again in a heartbeat.
