Drive Silverstone的点评
点评：This wasn’t our first track day experience at Silverstone with my son, and we’ve always had a great time in the past — which is exactly why we chose to return. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to our previous experiences.
My session was disappointing due to the instructor assigned to me. Aside from advising on braking, his overall input was minimal. There was no guidance on gear selection or other aspects that would have helped me improve and get the most from the experience. At times, he seemed more preoccupied with a small cut on his finger than focusing on the session itself.
I was also concerned about the condition of the car I was driving. There were fault warnings displayed on the dashboard, the instructor’s remote indicator switch wasn’t working (meaning I had to indicate for passing cars myself), the brakes were squealing badly — which inevitably made me hesitant about fully committing under braking — and there appeared to be something loose or hanging underneath the vehicle.
On a positive note, the instructor assigned to my son was excellent and provided constructive, engaging feedback throughout his session.
