One of the best candy shops in America, a must-see and one-of-a-kind!
Yummies Candy and Nuts的点评
点评：Yummies is one of our must-visit stops when we're traveling between Maine and Florida... and back again. From local sweets to vintage candies (that we'd though weren't made any more), this store has it all, in abundance! No matter what one item we plan to buy there, we always leave with far more.
Be prepared for the aisles to be narrow-ish for the volume of people who might be there. It's worth any awkwardness. Think of it as an opportunity to look over more candies as you're waiting for the aisle to open up a bit. And allow at least 10 minutes for a brief visit; you're likely to linger there far longer!
Also, if you see any clothing items you like there, buy them! You're not likely to see those designs anywhere else. (In fact, my husband often buys two of any that he especially likes, in case the first one - a shirt or hat, usually - might wear out or be lost.)
Of course, there's no charge to visit this great store, even though many consider it a "tourist attraction." (It is, but locals like us shop there, too.)
Yummies always feels like a family-run business, and the staff are consistently nice.
Because of how full - and tall - the displays are, if you're traveling with children, it's best to visit Yummies when the parking lot is half full or less. From our experience (and lots of visits), most shoppers are adults, and little kids can feel overwhelmed when the store is crowded.
