点评：Plumpton offers a zoo for year-round family enjoyment. Today was a cool and clear day in between cold and windy and cold and rainy, so i took advantage for visiting the park. Except for some tortoises, all the mammals and birds were out in their pens to greet the dozen or more families that were visiting this morning. A special feature is the giraffe and its educational center. Camels and their cousins, llamas and alpacas, were waiting for the approved feed that visitors could obtain at the entrance. There was a reptile house that was still under repair. Peahens/cocks were "guarding" the door so no one would enter. There are plentiful plaques to provide information about the animals. In addition, plaques identify the trees and other flora that line the paths. Speaking of paths, there are maps posted for guidance, and the paths are easy to walk. The entry fees are reasonable, and at the end of the visit, there is a large gift shop, where I even found a t-shirt in my size. This was a great was to spend a Sunday morning.
