Wonderful museum!
Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum的点评
点评：We stopped here because of Audie Murphy and we ended up loving everything about this museum. When you walk through the museum you start with the local history which is very interesting. They have a cute interactive exhibit that explains life in the 1920s. Then you go through the American Cotton section which is also interesting if you love history. The entire back half of the museum is military history and its dedicated to all heroes of the wars. There is a small section dedicated to just Audie Murphy and a short film about his life but don't come expecting the whole thing to be about him.
We paid a couple dollars extra and went on a guided tour through the 3 outside buildings located on the property. These have nothing to do with Audie Murphy but local history. They were really neat to walk through with some interesting artifacts so we are glad we did it.
The gift shop is small but offers mostly Audie Murphy souvenirs with some cotton and Texas stuff as well. The staff was really friendly and we enjoyed our visit very much. It's definitely worth a stop if you're driving through Greenville. Don't forget to stop and snap a pic of the Audie Murphy Statue.
