We’re glad we came but unless there’s changes and a deep clean/revamp, we won’t be going back

点评：We spent half a day here with my partner and our toddler as we booked to feed the little highland cow, Bonnie.
The positives were when you walked in, the little area where you can interact with the animals is brilliant and you could meet a few animals there with your little one and have a great hour (it’s such a good idea and really original) but this unfortunately was as good as it got.
The zoo has amazing potential and there’s a wide range of fabulous animals to look at, but we were surprised at how dirty and how poorly kept the park and enclosures were - my 2 year old kept commenting saying, “look Daddy, spiders” due to all the cobwebs!
I’ve looked at past reviews from 4/6 years ago and it doesn’t look like the kids area has changed/been painted since then, and some of the enclosures felt dated at best and very poorly kept - we go to Chester Zoo regularly and it’s night and day compared to there.
I think it cost us c£30 to feed Bonnie with our 2 year old son (she drank the bottles in about 10 seconds), so although it was a great experience for him, I’m not sure it was great value for money!
The staff were all really nice and it’s frustrating to have to leave a review such as this because the park has got so much brilliant potential, but at the minute, it needs major TLC and we won’t be coming back.
