A Festive Adventure at Kedleston Hall: Sausage Rolls, Marble, and Merriment!

点评：We visited Kedleston Hall earlier today and what a treat it was! As we turned onto the estate, we caught a sneak peek of the mansion, and driving over a small bridge felt like a scene straight out of a period drama. The car park was well laid out with plenty of spaces, which is always a win in my book.
There was a short walk to the visitor center and then onto the hall itself. The hall is absolutely stunning, with art, sculptures, and marble galore. We visited in December, so the hall was adorned with Christmas trees, making it feel like Santa’s second home (just with fewer elves and more history).
We spent a good hour chatting with the staff, who were like walking encyclopedias of knowledge and very polite to boot. The tour was a delightful mix of education and admiration.
And let's not forget the pièce de résistance – the restaurant. We devoured some delicious sausage rolls and washed them down with hot drinks. It was the perfect end to our visit. This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. We can't wait to return when the weather is a bit more favorable.
