Remote and driving on gravel roads required, but well worth it.
Edward Ted and Pat Jones- Confluence State Park的点评
点评:I was surprised just how remote this park is. Somehow I was expecting something a bit more visitor friendly for such a significant location - like the headwaters of the Mississippi River in Itasca State Park in Minnesota, for example. We were lucky compared to some of the other reviewers who found the park closed because of high waters. The lengthy gravel road was being resurfaced in September of 2025, and you could definitely feel the road surface had been recently water covered in some areas, with fresh gravel on top. The park is well done considering its remoteness - picnic tables, good signage, a nice clear trail and good concrete markers at the confluence. It takes some effort to get to, but well worth it unless you are skittish about driving on gravel roads for an extended distance.
