点评：I homeschool 3 very rambunctious boys ages 6-8. We had to pass the day (Wednesday 27 March 2024) when our car was in the mechanics and so decided to visit Old Farm. I was nervous a bit, as the boys wanted to do the tour. When we arrived, the boys found a geocache! They raced to tell the volunteers, the lady raced out to engage with the boy's delight and see where it was hidden (so do be on the lookout ;-) ) From there I was overwhelmed how lovely the volunteers were.
The volunteers we met that day are a credit to the Old Farm and I can't recommend them enough. You ladies are a breath of fresh air! We can't wait to bring back dad and explore it with him. They engaged with their inquisitive minds, had a great sense of humour and made my children feel special. We loved the tour and how they adapted it to suit the kids and their attention spans and interests without sacrificing my sanity and I learnt so much myself. From an education standpoint, we learnt history, geography, plenty about the First Peoples and their strong connection to this property, about food and archaeology just to start. I really recommend you go here, and if you can - go on the Wednesdays the ladies are on!
