An unforgettable experience with Oscar, but...

点评：Starting with the positives, swimming with the whale sharks is amazing, it's a little bit rushed but that's the nature of swimming with whale sharks, it's a privilege to even get a chance to swim with the beautiful creatures. The guide we had for the majority of the day was a pleasure to be around, Oscar was kind, explained everything and made us laugh. Our boat captain and crew were also lovely! We only swam with them once but that was not for a lack of effort the team tried their absolute best to get us in the water more but you can't organise nature to do what you want so I have no issues there the swim we got was great.
The issues we had mainly centered around our guide who took us to and from our hotel. Jonathan was on time and waiting for us which was great, however, he didn't really talk to us other than a hello the whole journey. We met the team at 6 AM which was also fine we were told it was early. However, it was unnecessary as after the initial transfer we sat waiting for an hour for other groups to arrive despite having enough people to depart. During this hour Jonathan said nothing to us despite other groups getting briefed by their guide we sat there feeling forgotten. After we got back from the tour we also sat at the hotel for another 45 minutes sorting photos out, which could have been done in the bus on the way back. The final frustration was I went to the loo quickly Jonathan just walked to the taxi without waiting for me so when I got back to the hotel no one was there everyone had left and I had to search the car parks to try and find my guide... Which was really not a great end to the day.
