Kids loved the Fun Zone
Wild Acadia Camping Resort的点评
点评：I took 5 tweens to the campground's Fun Zone on a day pass while staying in Acadia, and we all had a fabulous time. It is a small enough facility that the kids (age 10-13) could have complete freedom and go off in different groupings, but large enough to keep them entertained for hours. We arrived right around opening and stayed until after 2, but could have stayed longer if we didn't have anywhere else to be.
One area has two long water slides that lead into a pool area, part of which is roped off for pool fun whereas the rest is slide landing zone. Then there is a splash pad area with small slides and a huge dump bucket and other things - designed for small children, but certainly enjoyed by these tweens. The "dry land" activities include various jumping and climbing activities, which they each took several turns with. Mini golf is available on the other side of the driveway.
There were several other families there, but it was not at all crowded. The kids had to wait in small lines for some activities, but it was always reasonable. There were plenty of staff members on hand to lifeguard and assist with harnesses and all the other things.
We brought some snacks and fruit, and purchased additional food from the cafe. It is exactly the kind of food you would expect at this kind of facility - hot dogs, pizza, fries, etc. It was served efficiently and reasonable quality. The folks working in the cafe were very kind.
We'll be back next year!
