Bioluminescence bay experience

点评：We had a large group of 36 people, and they did a great job of accommodating us on two boats. The experience was as promised, and very memorable. The bioluminescence was very bright, but it did not capture well on our iPhone photos. The kids had a great time swimming and the kayaks were great for those who didn’t want to get completely wet, although our pants did get wet on the seats. We were worried about the mosquitoes, and had repellent on, but most of the time, we were in the middle of the bay, so it was not an issue at all. We went on the later session after 9:00 pm, so the earlier session may be slightly different in terms of how well you see it and mosquitoes.
The crew were nice and helpful. I wish they would have pointed out that you can see fish lighting up deeper down and that the kayaks could go further away from the boat to darker areas to see the fish deep down better. We stayed right next to the boat and didn’t look down beyond our paddles and swimmers creating the light.
Overall, a great trip. Glad we did it. It’s a bucket list item, so I would recommend going at least once in your lifetime.
