点评：Holidaying over in WSM, and needing the exercise, thought I'd pop over and complete the walk to the fort. This my 2nd time here. My first, on what started as a nice day, took a rather dodgy turn weatherwise. I was forced to scuttle off back to my car when I'd been within spitting distance of the fort... Happily, not a problem today, the weather was perfect.
The steps up can be arduous, but take your time, and they're not a bad as they look at first sight. Once at the top there's a couple of routes to the fort. Take a left, and follow your nose. This takes you over the headland (and can be quite hilly), but affords the best, panoramic views of the surrounding area. Or, if you walk straight ahead to the other side, you'll see a gravel road that relatively gently slopes down to the fort, but with restricted views.
It is a lovely walk, and the remnants of the fort are pretty interesting. Open to be fully explored, and with information panels dotted all around the site.
Well worth a visit.
