点评：A truly beautiful and fascinating piece of history - starting the same time period as Confederation, O’Keefe Ranch is an important part of BC history; culturally and agriculturally. The buildings tell the tale of time long past, and the challenges that were faced, the strong and determined people that made a life there and the impact it had on the community.
We popped in there off season and still the volunteers greeted us, welcomed us and took us for a wonderful tour. A remarkable group of people are working hard to keep this historic site open and viable. This place is well worth our tourist dollars. We’re going back to try out the restaurant and see the rest of the property and lovely animals when the season officially starts later in May. Check their website for special events coming up. They offer stunning wedding venues, glamping, theatrical evenings and a restaurant among various other experiences. Vernon, this is a BC treasure, keep up the great work!
