A real gem of a museum inside Ely Cathedral
The Stained Glass Museum的点评
点评：We were fascinated when the tourist information centre nearby told us about the Stained Glass museum, & made sure we paid a visit here whilst at the cathedral.
It's situated in one of the long galleries overlooking the cathedral's vast interior, & had a lovingly-curated selection of stained glass from throughout history, although most of it is from the past century.
There's lovely models & exhibits too which explain the creative processes of making stained glass, & we found this so fascinating.
The stained glass windows themselves are all so different & characterful - ranging from the traditional religious images to more modern & contemporary designs.
It's unique as it's the only museum of its kind in Ely, & well worth a visit if you're in the city.
There's a well-stocked gift shop too with friendly & helpful staff.
