Fantastic family morning

点评：We visited on heritage weekend as a family (3 generations) and we had an absolutely fantastic morning. There was something for everyone. Grandad and husband were happy looking at the steam engine, chatting to the staff. My toddler and her Auntie were having a great time at the crafting table. I was spending money on the hospice stall buying my little one a lovely hand knitted cardigan (for a bargain price).
We then all went and had a go on the miniature railway. £2 each and you get two laps. 2 and under are free. We visited the model village as well.
Then appeared some Morris dancers who brought so much joy to everyone and started doing some audience participation. We watched at first and they let my toddler have some bells to jingle from the sidelines. They moved on to dance at the café area and some older children had such a good time they asked to join in again. This time we joined in as well and had a good laugh. They were so friendly and welcoming.
We grabbed a hot drink before we left but instantly regretted having breakfast at home as the bacon sandwiches coming out of the kitchen smelt amazing.
All in all we had a fantastic morning. Everyone was happy. We'll definitely come back. Staff and volunteers were incredibly kind and passionate about what they do. Thank you for a fantastic visit.
