点评:Liechtensteinklamm itself is spectacular. The gorge, the towering rock walls, the water and the wooden walkways create an incredibly beautiful and potentially immersive experience. From a natural point of view, this place is absolutely worth seeing.
And that is exactly why it is so frustrating to see it ruined by such poor management of visitor numbers.
I spent a large part of the visit walking in a queue, literally one person behind another, while more and more visitors were continuously allowed to enter. In the narrow sections people are packed together, some try to overtake, others bump into you, children are shouting, and there is barely any opportunity to stop for a moment, look around, listen to the water and actually experience the gorge.
At that point, the connection with nature is completely lost. Instead of feeling immersed in a spectacular Alpine gorge, you feel as if you are moving through one long tourist queue.
The problem is not that a famous attraction gets busy. That is understandable. The problem is allowing far more people into the gorge at the same time than the narrow trail can comfortably handle.
There should be properly timed entry slots and a strict limit on visitor numbers. I would much rather wait outside for half an hour than experience a place this extraordinary in these conditions.
Five stars for nature. One star for the management.
An extraordinary place that deserves to be experienced, not simply endured in a crowd.
