Alternate Ending Beer Co的点评
点评：We went to Alternate Ending Beer Co for trivia night and decided to have dinner there. The service was good. A little slow, but that can be attributed to being busy when we arrived, so that I can give it a pass. Our server was very attentive, polite, and cheery when she took our food order. The trivia that night was great. The first round was relatively easy, while the second was slightly harder. The third and final round was the most difficult. Great fun.
Now, about the food. We started with appetizers. We had the pretzel and the chips with salsa. You can't go wrong with chips with salsa, but the pretzel left a lot to be desired. It was dried out and tasteless. It only improved, ever so slightly if you dipped it in the mustard dip or what seemed to be a cheese dip. Our friends ordered the Wagyu burger on the menu. They ordered it medium, but it was more well done than medium. They said it was OK, but were not happy with it. My wife had the Bar Pie. Again, not much taste to it. I tried a piece of it, and our friend's husband also did and had to agree. Dry and tasteless. Finally, I had the Cali Burger. This consisted of 2 Smash Burger patties with the usual burger toppings. All in all, not bad. It had a good flame-broiled taste to it, but to me, it had too much bun for the amount of burger. A little disappointing, but OK. The one thing I'll say about the food is that the fries were very good. Just the right crispness for a shoestring fry.
We decided afterward that if we go again for a trivia night, we will eat before we go.
Oh, 2 things. The beer was good. All made onsite and very good. You can't get the usual beers like Coors or Budweiser. And we came in 3rd in the trivia and won a 4-pack of any of their beers. We chose the "What If" beer. It has Melon, Pine, and Citrus, and a very refreshing taste.
