Very Disappointed
Marula Lodge Safaris的点评
点评：Very disappointed with our stay at Marula Lodge. We arrived to have nobody welcome us and show us where to go, all because there was a conference that nobody had informed us about prior to our stay. The conference resulted in lots of loud people as well as loud music being played at night time which was very disturbing for someone who was looking forward to a relaxing holiday. I was given a room with two single beds after I specifically emailed a week before and asked for a double bed, to which they agreed.
I found the staff very friendly, but I think the problem is that they are under poor management. We stayed there for 4 nights and not once did anybody come and ask us if we would like something to drink, we had to get our own drinks from the bar and there was no table service. I find this unacceptable in the hospitality industry, especially when you pay over $100 a night. The Manager was not very friendly at all. The rooms very not great, the only good thing I have to say about it is that the beds were very comfortable, but other than that, the mosquito nets were dirty and the towels were old and faded.
The lodge has so much potential, you can see it, but not unless the management improves. I will certainly not be returning unfortunately. I really do hope that they manage to improve in the future as they have such a good view of the river and the animals roaming around through the lodge is quite special.
